Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and it provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet helps to build strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility, while maintaining proper body alignment.


Level: Beginning, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3
Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality. This type of dance is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps, and lots of turns.


Level: Beginning, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3
Ages: Youth-Teen
A fusion of ballet and jazz, dancers dance to slower music, where the “lyrics” of the music are interpreted through movement. Learning to act and express their body and face is the main objective of the class. This is a class that puts an emphasis on the emotional side of music expressed through dance.

Hip Hop

Level: Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced
Ages: Youth-Teen
Hip hop is a popular, energetic dance style that is usually performed to hip hop music. Hip Hop focuses on rhythm, syncopation and stage presence. Derived from a combination of jazz funk, street jazz, Pop and lock, and breaking, this style of dance requires high energy, attention to detail and an understanding of complex rhythms.


Level: Beginning, Level 1, Level 2
Being one of Americas few classical dance genres, tap teaches students to analyze music and add to it using tap techniques. Students in this class will learn basic to advanced techniques. Tap helps improve musicality, timing, style, coordination, and balance which are all necessary for every other style of dance. Whether it’s laid back and relaxed, or big and energetic, tap never fails to bring joy to those who give it a chance.

Contemporary Dance

Level: Level 2 and Level 3
Contemporary dance is a style that works on the expressiveness and versatility of a dancer while combining elements of jazz, ballet, and lyrical. Contemporary dance is the exploration of the total movement potential of the body. This style of dance strives to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Contemporary Ballet

Level: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3
Contemporary ballet incorporates elements from both classical ballet and modern dance. It takes its technique from classical ballet, although it permits a greater range of movement that may not adhere to the strict body lines of classical technique.

Leaps & Turns

Level: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced
This class is designed to help students understand the key components to executing their jazz leaps and turns. This class will focus on body placement, control, strength, and flexibility.

Pointe, and Variations

Level: – Pre-pointe, Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced
Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. It is required that each students takes a minimum of two ballet classes in order to maintain proper technique, strength, and alignment needed for pointe class. Students will start in a pre-pointe class to introduce their bodies to the rigors of dancing on the tips of their toes. Variations class is designed to teach each student a classical ballet piece of choreography that is danced while wearing their pointe shoes.

Youth Yoga

Yoga is a discipline that can lead kids on the path toward a calm and balanced mind, as well as help them build a strong and flexible body – tools they can use in their everyday lives.

The class is designed for all fitness level ages 9-teen. During the class students will practice fun-filled yoga poses and breathing exercises that promote:

  • Physical Strength and Flexibility
  • Concentration, Focus and Attention
  • Inner Strength and Body Awareness
  • Confidence and Self-esteem
  • Relaxation and Self-control
  • A Feeling of Well-being and Respect for Others
  • Regulated Hormones
  • Love for One’s Self, Inside and Out

This class is a contemporary approach to traditional yoga created specifically for the younger student in mind. Set to up beat, modern music, characterized by flowing poses, this class is a wonderful opportunity to introduce kids to yoga at a young age. Although a wonderful compliment to any student currently taking dance classes, this class is highly recommended for any student seeking more flexibility and overall body strength.

Pas De Deux

Level: Invite only for ages 11 and up
Literally translated to “a step for two,” pas de deux is a classical ballet style of partnering. This class covers pas de deux basics in supported turns, lifts, and couple ensembles. Partnering will introduce students to the challenges that come with sharing weight and dancing successfully and gracefully with others.


Studio Fusion Dance Team
Ages: 6-up
Studio Fusion’s Dance Company is designed for the serious dancer desiring to take their dance to the next level. Throughout the year we will compete in multiple regional and national competitions, attend dance conventions and perform at the studio recital. To be part of the dance company requires discipline, commitment, dedication, teamwork and an eagerness to learn. The styles performed vary from lyrical, jazz, contemporary, open, hip hop and production.

Private Instruction

Level: Open to all
Private instruction is offered for dance and fitness for all ages, levels and abilities. Ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, personal fitness and private groups. Private lessons are available by the half hour – one hour sessions and can be an individual, couple or group.

Master Classes

Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Ages: Ages 7 & Up
Availability is determined on a class to class basis.
Top professional dance instructors will teach master intensive class that are not currently included in the regular schedule.
